Tammie Crawford

Tammie Crawford serves the Waynesville and Marion NC offices. She is married and has three wonderful children.

Born and raised in Western North Carolina, Tammie earned her degree from Mars Hill College in 1992. She is a licensed Hearing Instrument Dispenser in North Carolina and has successfully completed advanced training course at Avada’s National Training Center in Scottsdale, Arizona.

She is committed to helping those with speech understanding problems lead a fuller life. By combining integrity and compassion, she has a unique ability to explain the strategies of treating hearing loss. She understands the importance of taking the time to really listen to her patients. Tammie creates an environment where open and honest communication can take place and her patients can make decisions about their speech understanding needs without feeling rushed or pressured.

Winner of numerous prestigious Avada Pacesetter awards, Tammie’s commitment to excellent patient care is evident with each and every patient. She truly believes, “People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care”.

Tammie’s knowledge in communication disorders has helped a wide range of patients, including both adults and children with hearing loss. Here at Avada, she provides screenings, aural rehabilitation and has an expansive knowledge of both conventional and digital hearing instruments. Expertly trained in the new wireless hearing instrument connectivity technology, she has a distinctive approach to demonstrating how today’s modern hearing devices connect directly to her patient’s cell phones, home phones or televisions.

With over 20 years of experience, she’s dispensed and adjusted thousands of hearing devices and is an expert in early detection and treatment of speech understanding problems. She is accepting new patients and welcomes the opportunity to help those who hear conversation but have trouble understanding it.
