Valerie White is a Hearing Instrument Specialist that serves the Smithfield, NC office. She has lived in the Wilson area all her life, is married and has raised 2 wonderful children and still has her youngest at home to enjoy. She is committed to helping those with speech understanding problems lead a fuller life. By combining integrity and compassion, She has a unique ability to explain the strategies of treating hearing loss. She understands the importance of taking the time to really listen to her patients. Valerie creates an environment where open and honest communication can take place and her patients can make decisions about their speech understanding needs without feeling rushed or pressured.
Valerie’s commitment to excellent patient care is evident with each and every patient. She truly believes, “People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care”.
Valerie’s knowledge in communication disorders has helped a wide range of patients, including both adults and children with hearing loss. Here at Avada, She provides screenings, a full battery of hearing tests, aural rehabilitation and has an expansive knowledge of both conventional and digital hearing instruments. Expertly trained in the new wireless hearing instrument connectivity technology, She has a distinctive approach to demonstrating how today’s modern hearing devices connect directly to her patient’s cell phones, home phones or televisions.
She’s dispensed and adjusted thousands of hearing devices and is an expert in early detection and treatment of speech understanding problems. She is accepting new patients and welcomes the opportunity to help those who hear conversation but have trouble understanding it.
Avada is pleased to welcome Audiologist, Laura Raines to the Avada team. Dr. Raines has been practicing audiology since 2009. Her expertise includes diagnostic hearing testing, hearing aid fittings, repair and troubleshooting. Her patient-oriented approach gives outstanding results, and she is pleased that she has been able to help so many people hear well in Maryland, Virginia and North Carolina.
She earned her Doctorate in Audiology from James Madison University and a Bachelors of science from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Dr. Raines is currently welcoming new clients.
