Located near Camp Lejeune Base, we have the opportunity to support and provide hearing services to our Active Military Dependents. We offer hearing health to the Onslow community as well as Richlands, Hubert, and Maple Hill. Our Provider often travel to nursing facilities in the region to provide hearing care to our patients who have difficulty coming into our office.

Jackie Gorrell is a Hearing Instrument Specialist serving the Jacksonville, NC office. She has recently relocated to Jacksonville from Cleveland, Ohio.
Born and raised in the Cleveland, Jackie earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from West Virginia University. She went on to study Audiology at Kent State University and the University of Akron. She also studied Speech Pathology at Cleveland State University.
She is committed to helping those with speech understanding problems lead a fuller life. By combining integrity and compassion, she has a unique ability to explain the strategies of treating hearing loss. She understands the importance of taking the time to really listen to her patients. Jackie creates an environment where open and honest communication can take place and her patients can make decisions about their speech understanding needs without feeling rushed or pressured.
Jackie’s commitment to excellent patient care is evident with each and every patient. She truly believes, “People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care”.
Jackie’s knowledge in communication disorders has helped a wide range of patients, including both adults and children with hearing loss. Here at Avada, she provides screenings, a full battery of hearing tests, aural rehabilitation and has an expansive knowledge of both conventional and digital hearing instruments. Expertly trained in the new wireless hearing instrument connectivity technology, she has a distinctive approach to demonstrating how today’s modern hearing devices connect directly to her patient’s cell phones, home phones and televisions.
