Lauren Igel is the Provider at the Hampton, Virginia Avada office.
Hearing is one of the joys of life. When individuals suffer from hearing deprivation they can experience extreme life stressors. It is not uncommon for their lives to feel like they are unraveling. One of Lauren’s great passions is providing treatment for those who suffer. She helps her clients, who include mostly adults and families to find a hearing instrument that will give them the best quality of hearing.
Lauren says, “I know that no one has the exact same hearing loss. However, with my thorough knowledge and training, I am able to fit, program, and adjust to each individual’s specific needs. In order to do so, I perform a comprehensive hearing evaluation that includes speech mapping, using the most up to date state-of-the-art equipment.”
Her educational background includes a BS in Speech Pathology and Audiology from Old Dominion University. In 2013, she worked as a hearing aid technician. As time progressed, her educational background increased and it was time for advancement. In 2014, she was offered a position in Mechanicsville, Virginia as a Licensed Hearing Aid Practitioner.
“As it is my joy to provide assistive technology to those in need, it does not surpass spending time with my family. My true happiness is the day-to-day experiences that I share with my daughter. There is no better blessing in the world than being a mother. You get to nurture and teach a child life lessons. In addition, show her things you love to do. As she gets older, it is my hope that I can share my passion of playing golf with her.”
