Erica Pritchard Cook is a Hearing Instrument Specialist that serves the Fayetteville, NC office. She and her husband, James were both born and raised in Fayetteville. They are proud to live and work, as well as raise their two beautiful daughters in the All-American City. Her family is very active in many aspects of Fayetteville Community Church, where Erica loves singing in the choir and leading women’s Bible studies.
Erica is committed to helping those with speech understanding problems lead a fuller life. With 10-years of experience as a Speech-Language Pathology assistant, helping people communicate with their family is her true passion. Helen Keller once said “Blindness separates us from things but deafness separates us from people.” Too many people suffer far too long with that separation and Erica loves to help build a bridge of communication through better hearing and understanding.
By combining integrity and compassion, she has a unique ability to explain the strategies of treating hearing loss and understands the importance of taking the time to really listen to her patients. Erica creates an environment where open and honest communication can take place and her patients can make decisions about their speech understanding needs without feeling rushed or pressured.
Erica’s commitment to excellent patient care is evident with each and every patient. Her knowledge in communication disorders has helped a wide range of patients with hearing loss. Here at Avada, she provides screenings, a battery of hearing tests, aural rehabilitation and has an expansive knowledge of hearing instruments. Expertly trained in the new wireless hearing instrument connectivity technology, she has a distinctive approach to demonstrating how today’s modern hearing devices connect directly to her patient’s cell phones, home phones and televisions.
With years of experience, she’s dispensed and adjusted thousands of hearing devices and is an expert in early detection and treatment of speech understanding problems. She is accepting new patients and welcomes the opportunity to help those who hear conversation but have trouble understanding it. Erica is excited to help others take a step toward better communication.
