Erin is our Hearing Instrument Specialist who serves the Westfield, MA office. She has lived in Westfield for four years. Born and raised in Holyoke, MA, Erin studied psychology at Holyoke Community College and Western New England College. Erin is an avid soccer fan, and played throughout her college career. She now helps coach the teams of her many nieces and nephews.
She is committed to helping those with speech understanding problems lead a fuller life. By combining integrity and compassion, she has a unique ability to explain the strategies of treating heating loss. She understands the importance of taking the time to really listen to her patients. Erin creates an environment where open and honest communication can take place and her patients can make decisions about their speech understanding needs without feeling rushed or pressured.
Erin’s commitment to excellent patient care is evident with each and every patient. She truly believes, “People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care”. Her knowledge in hearing loss has helped a wide range of patients. Here at Avada, she provides screenings, a full battery of hearing tests, aural rehabilitation and has an expansive knowledge of both conventional and digital hearing instruments. Expertly trained in the new wireless hearing instrument connectivity technology, she has a distinctive approach to demonstrating how the new digital technology can help improve her patients’ lives in many areas.
Erin says that the highlight of what she does for a living is watching her patients become socially engaged with their loved ones again. She is accepting new patients and welcomes the opportunity to help those who hear conversation but have trouble understanding it.
