You may have changing listening needs in the workplace, your hobbies or avocations, as you volunteer, or with family situations. If your hearing aids are three to five years old, there are many changes that would assist you with new hearing aids. If your hearing aids are over five years old, you will experience many improvements with new technology in the hearing aids.
There are many benefits to upgrading to newer technology. Technology within hearing aids changes to better serve the needs of individual. Current technology assists patients with their hearing in a more seamless manner. Technology does the bulk of the work in many challenging situations.
Today’s hearing aids connect to enhance your ability to hear with an IPod, telephone and cell phone usage, television and inconspicuous microphones for use in noisy restaurants or distance situations (up to thirty feet). Hearing aids have many more features that assist in programming your new hearing aids to your needs and your individualized listening situations.
Technology today is able to allow the hearing aids to function together. One example is turning the volume up on one side, will turn both hearing aids louder in tandem. Another example is being able to enhance the speech in noisy environments.
One of my favorite features allows your cell phone to be heard in both hearing aids at the same time. Really hearing the cell phone call in stereo! Experience the new technology by looking for the office closest to you!
